Foarte buna observatie.Nu stiu daca s-a dat deja argumentul acesta:
Romani 10.4.
Cine v-a legat in fata lui D-zeu?

I am struggling with the Sabbath and whether God cares what day we set aside for rest and worship. I thought I had it all sorted out thinking that 1 commandment of the 10 no longer applies under the New Covenant and have been happily attending my Christ-centered, Bible-based Sunday church, but an Adventist friend tells me that the burden of proof is on Sunday keepers to show where in the Bible God changed the day (vs. us asking them where in the NT does it state that we are to be Sabbath keepers when all the other 9 commandments are mentioned except that one, etc., etc.).
B
The sabbath commandment was omitted from the epistles written after Christ completed the first covenant and ushered in the new one in His blood for an intuitive reason - it makes no sense to return to the weekly sabbath when God gave us a rest that is permanent. There is no such thing as a sabbath outside of the first covenant mediated by Moses, and that first covenant is defined as the ten commandments according to Exodus 34:27-28 and Deuteronomy 4:12-13. The redeemed of God have entered into God's permanent rest, which is seven times superior than the weekly sabbath that was ordained to point us toward God's rest.

Anyway, my Adventist friend's answer to NT verses such as Colossians 2:16-17 and other similar ones that seem to say we are free to worship and rest in Christ whichever day (or every day) we want is that those verses are all about ceremonial Sabbaths, not the weekly Sabbath.
B
Your "friend" is dividing Israel's covenant "one law" (Numbers 15:16) into parts they don't like. It isn't possible, nor is it legal to do so. The covenant comprised as two tables of stone and the book of the law either stands or falls as a unit.
3. A
He insists it can be proved through the Bible that those verses do not apply to the Sabbath set forth "at the beginning of creation" and to the Sabbath written by God's own finger on the stone tablet. I may ask him to prove it, I guess.
B
The sabbath didn't exist at creation - only God's rest did, as recorded in Genesis 2:2-3. His rest never ended, and it remains as permanent as when His rest first began. As such, it isn't periodic, it doesn't repeat every week. This is the rest that is described in Hebrews 4.
The sabbath didn't exist until it was ordained about 2500 years later, and Moses was the first to receive it about a month prior to Sinai, when the ten commandments were dictated (Exodus 16). The law in Exodus 20:11 references the seventh day that God rested as the impetus to ordain the sabbath, using the same sentence structure to reference a single event in the past that Deuteronomy 5:15 also uses when it references deliverence from Egypt.
And, yes, your friend is correct when he told you that God wrote the ten commandments with His own finger (Exodus 31:18 for the first pair, Exodus 34:1 for the second pair). God ordained the ten commandments as His covenant with Israel, mediated in Moses's hands. God owns that law; He has every right to dispose of it as well because of that natural right as owner - and that's what He did in the change from the first covenant to the new: "He takes away the first that He may establish the second".
Romans 7:6-7 specifies that we have been delivered from the law, and it quotes "You shall not covet" from Exodus 20:17 and Deuteronomy 5:21 to identify what law God has delivered us from: the ten commandments.

He also pointed to Hebrews 4:4-12 as evidence that the Sabbath is still the designated day of rest for God's people.
B
Hebrews 4 never references a sabbath.
It quotes from Genesis 2, the time God began His rest from creation (and never ended that rest). It calls that rest God's "My rest" and shows that it remained as another day that the people this epistle was written to didn't attain after being under the sabbath for nearly 1500 years: "if Joshua had given them rest, then He (God, speaking through David) would not afterward have spoken of another day".
Verse 3 affirms "we who have believed do enter that rest", that has replaced the sabbath.
Verse 9 affirms "There remains therefore a rest for the people of God", using the Greek sabbatismos (a permanent rest) that is never rendered as the sabbath (sabbaton). This verse is likely the one your "friend" will point to - inform him that he is not referencing a sabbath. Many modern translations render this as a sabbath in mistake, but not in the KJV Adventists usually rely on or the NKJV I have quoted in this post.
"The redeemed of God have entered into God's permanent rest, which is seven times superior than the weekly sabbath that was ordained to point us toward God's rest." --> fraza nu are nici un sens in romana dar o traduc mote a mote oricum --> Alesii lu Dumnezeu au intrat in perioada de odihna permanenta a lui Dumnezeu, ceea ce este de sapte ori superioara sabatului saptamanal ceea ce incerca sa ne indrepte spre odihna Domnului.
3.A.
Probabil ca-i pot cere sa dovedeasca.
B.
4.A.
""if Joshua had given them rest, then He (God, speaking through David) would not afterward have spoken of another day"."
